About the position

The Sprinkler Service Technician role involves performing service and repairs on various sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing equipment malfunctions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining safety standards while working in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and ascertain equipment/system problems.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational product manuals.
  • Exhibit effective customer service skills by communicating with district staff and customers.
  • Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements and obtain customer's signature.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and operational/product manuals.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual positions such as climbing ladders and working in crawl spaces.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet company driving record requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred NICET Level II certification.
