About the position
As a sales associate in Animal Health, Apparel, Sporting Goods, or Hardlines at C-A-L Ranch Stores, you will be responsible for delivering legendary service to our customers and selling a wide range of C-A-L Ranch products and brands. The goal is to seek continual improvement in all that we do, ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers on the sales floor in a friendly and enthusiastic manner and determine the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired.
- Display merchandise, suggest selections that meet customer needs and emphasize selling points of our products such as quality and utility.
- Keep shelves stocked, merchandised, tagged, and signed with appropriate pricing.
- Help at cash wrap or in other departments when needed.
- Offer and sell promotional items and our C-A-L Ranch credit card.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally engaging in assisted lifting over 50 pounds.
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and engaging manner.
- Ability to learn and use Point of Sale (POS) computer operating system.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
