About the position

The Spine Sales Associate at Stryker will play a crucial role in promoting and selling Stryker's spine products to healthcare professionals, including surgeons. This position requires a strong understanding of spinal anatomy and surgical procedures, as well as the ability to build relationships and provide exceptional customer service. The Sales Associate will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and local Sales Representatives to ensure effective product demonstrations and case coverage, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in selling, promoting, and marketing Stryker Spine products to surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Gain clinical competency in spinal anatomy and Stryker Spine products.
  • Prepare and cover surgical cases to provide value to surgeons, patients, and facilities.
  • Manage consignment and loaner inventory based on surgical needs.
  • Advise on appropriate product selection and answer customer inquiries about product functionality.
  • Resolve product issues for customers promptly and inform the Regional Sales Manager of significant situations.
  • Keep Sales Representatives updated on territory developments and progress.
  • Assist in product demonstrations and in-service training in various settings.
  • Collaborate with the Sterile Processing Department to ensure proper surgical case preparation.
  • Adhere to hospital and OSHA guidelines, completing necessary training for operating room attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, CPT, etc.) with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma with at least 4 years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of active duty military service.
  • Knowledge of current office technologies (MS Office suite, Salesforce.com).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Comfortable in emergency and operating room environments.
  • Ability to learn product features and benefits quickly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift and carry samples and surgical instrument kits up to 40 pounds.
  • Availability on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer emergencies.
