About the position

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role involves providing, directing, and supervising quality patient care in post-acute settings. The SLP is responsible for screening, evaluating, and treating patients, as well as treatment planning, goal setting, family education, and documentation. This position emphasizes collaboration and adherence to professional standards and guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care through screening, evaluation, and treatment.
  • Develop treatment plans and set goals for patients.
  • Educate families about treatment processes and progress.
  • Document patient care activities and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State guidelines.
  • Advocate for patients and coordinate care across disciplines.
  • Participate in quality assurance and customer service activities.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Licensure or Certification as required by State guidelines.
  • CPR Certification.
  • 1 year of Speech/Language Pathology experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred.
  • Students in their CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) will be considered.
