About the position

Speech Language Pathologists provide speech and language services to eligible students on IEPs within the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative assigned areas. The Speech Language Pathologist assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech/Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and administration of the cooperative and school district.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services to eligible students on IEPs.
  • Assist in developing speech and language skills for students.
  • Facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.
  • Collaborate with staff and administration to meet individual student needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with students with special needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a school setting.
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
