About the position

The Western Placer Unified School District and its 13 schools and an independent study program are located in the communities of Lincoln and Sheridan, California. These communities rest at the base of the Sierra Foothills in picturesque Placer County. Lincoln is approximately 30 miles northeast of Sacramento, our state's capital. Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing service in Language, Speech, and Hearing.
  • Must submit answers to supplemental questions including a video link describing educational background and motivation to teach at WPUSD.
  • Must provide a copy of transcripts.
  • Must provide a copy of credential.
  • Must submit a letter of introduction.
  • Must provide at least three letters of recommendation.
  • Must submit a resume.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of current speech and language therapy practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
