About the position
This position is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program for students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in a regular classroom setting. The role involves teaching duties as outlined by laws and policies, and it is shared between Wesley Chapel High School and Thomas E. Weightman Middle School, requiring the individual to work three days at the high school and two days at the middle school.
Responsibilities
- Organize and implement instructional programs for students with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Meet teaching duties as outlined in laws and policies.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student learning.
- Provide mentoring and supervision for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) candidates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Valid teaching certificate or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE or licensure issued by FL Department of Health.
Nice-to-haves
- Recent college graduates encouraged to apply without initial certification, but must apply for it prior to being offered a position.
- Bachelor level and clinical fellowship year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply.
