About the position

A Child's Place at Unity House has full-time openings for CFY candidates! The position involves evaluating and treating children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Creativity and the use of motivating theme-based activities are encouraged. Services are provided on-site or off-site in daycare facilities, preschools, homes, and special education settings. The role requires collaboration with all staff and administrators to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children. Additionally, managing caseloads and reports in a timely fashion is essential, as well as reporting to and collaborating with a fully licensed SPL Pathologist. The position promotes a culture of inclusion and belonging.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Encourage creativity and use of motivating theme-based activities.
• Provide services on-site or off-site in daycare facilities, preschools, homes, and special education settings.
• Work collaboratively with all staff and administrators to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
• Manage caseloads and reports in a timely fashion.
• Report to and collaborate with fully licensed SPL Pathologist.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology required.
• Pediatric internship preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Valid and clean NYS driver's license.
• Strong organizational and report writing skills a must.
