The Specialty Sales team plays a crucial role in selling the respiratory portfolio, which is a cornerstone of growth for the company now and in the future. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead key activities, foster career growth, and engage in impactful work. You will provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product. Understanding the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers is essential, as is identifying the appropriate resources to refer customers for reimbursement and distribution choices, all while adhering to GSK guidelines and values. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise and provide educational programs and in-services to customers. Additionally, you will develop strategies and tactics to generate sales and implement customer-specific strategies within accounts, including Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK is vital. Outstanding customer service is a priority, ensuring that customer requests and needs are met promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific knowledge and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices.
  • Maintain knowledge and data regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
  • Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Implement strategies specific to each customer within an account, including Allergists, Pulmonologists, nurses, PAs, and business/office managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources, including financial resources.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel up to 30%.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Specialty Products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution.
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Experience in Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales.
  • Cross-functional matrix collaboration experience.
  • Demonstrated consistent performance over time.
