About the position

The Specialist IT Security role is a key position within the Security Operation Center (SOC) Team, responsible for leading initiatives related to IT security across the Automotive Division. This global role involves assessing security requirements, safeguarding information systems, and managing vulnerabilities and risks to ensure the integrity of client information.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating security requirements
  • Safeguard information system assets
  • Implement security improvements
  • Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources when required
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
  • Work with Global and Regional Infrastructure teams to ensure the upgrading of network and infrastructure systems
  • Implement and maintain security controls
  • Identify and solve potential and actual major security problems
  • Act as an escalation point for IT Operations, Global Infrastructure, and Business departments regarding IT Security issues
  • Prepare performance reports and communicate system status to management
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Coordinate the key-users team to coach, monitor, and support the IT Operations area in perceiving security tasks

Requirements

  • Experience in IT security management and operations
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols and practices
  • Ability to conduct security audits and assessments
  • Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of security controls and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in IT security (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices
  • Knowledge of incident response and management
