About The Position

Richelieu Hardware is seeking a permanent Customs Compliance Specialist for their Ville Saint-Laurent offices. This role reports to the Logistics Director and is responsible for ensuring compliance with customs operations in Canada and the United States. The specialist will act as a resource person for customs compliance and provide support to various teams.

Requirements

  • Hold a diploma in logistics or a related field.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, AS/400, and knowledge of various databases.
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken, in French and English.
  • Hold a CSS certification.
  • Have strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. customs regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the compliance of import and export operations by following internal processes and U.S. and Canadian regulations.
  • Take charge of projects, analyze new products, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Create reports, update and optimize compliance procedures.
  • Act as the resource person for customs compliance and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders.
