About The Position

This role involves a variety of duties related to groundskeeping and general labor within a plant and mine site environment. The Special Project Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facility grounds, operating various types of equipment, and supporting broader facility improvement projects. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and perform manual labor.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
Stamina and strength to perform manual labor.
Excellent hand- eye coordination skill.
Proficient in the use and application of PCs, and related office applications.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure within a deadline-oriented environment.
Must be able to climb, stand, and walk long distances.
Must be able to use fingers and make substantial movements (repetitive motion) with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Required to operate general office equipment.
Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, and blowers preferred.

Responsibilities

Categorize a wide arrangement of existing parts.
Operate construction vehicles, tending machinery and heavy equipment.
Use power tools, building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
Haul goods from the receiving area.
Maintain a clean work environment. Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
Operate a zero-turn mower to maintain lawns, grassed areas, and facility grounds.
Perform trimming, edging, and vegetation control using string trimmers (weed eaters) and related landscaping equipment.
Operate backpack and handheld blowers to remove debris from sidewalks, parking lots, roadways, and facility entrances.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of facility grounds, landscaping beds, fence lines, and drainage areas.
Conduct routine inspections of grounds maintenance equipment and perform minor troubleshooting and basic preventative maintenance.
Assist with seasonal groundskeeping activities, including leaf removal, storm cleanup, and general property upkeep.
Identify and report grounds, equipment, or safety issues requiring repair or corrective action.
Support facility improvement, construction, and maintenance projects during periods of reduced landscaping demand.
Safely operate groundskeeping equipment and tools in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
Comply with all Company policies and procedures to achieve KaMin Vision.
Visibly support the Site Safety Policy by complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures with the intent to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
