Special Education Resource Center Associate (Teachers Aide, Tutor); 25 hours per week; Moreno Valley Location

About the position

Under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist, the successful candidate will assist in supporting annual goals from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in grades 6-12, and support operations of a community-based resource center. Special Education Resource Center Associates (RCA) are a key part of each resource center's instructional staff. The RCA position is hourly and part-time, 25 hours per week. RCAs are role models for students and expected to look, act, and speak as representatives of the school at all times.

Requirements

• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Completion of two years college coursework from an accredited college or university (Minimum of 48 semester units)
• Reliable transportation
• Pass a work styles/behavior survey and math assessment
• Clear background check by the Department of Justice and FBI
• TB Clearance
• Resume
• Two letters of recommendation on letterhead written within the last two years, including one from a direct supervisor
• Excellent organization, time management, and record keeping skills
• Experience working with youth and specialized student populations preferred
