The Special Ed Teaching Assistant for Early Childhood Special Education will work at the Pershing Early Learning Center, a high-needs school. Responsibilities
- Assist in lifting, positioning, toileting, feeding, and tube-feeding students as required.
- Physically restrain students when they pose a danger to themselves or others.
- Implement lessons and collect data under the direction of a licensed teacher.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to lift, position, toilet, feed, and tube-feed students.
- Must be able to physically restrain students at a danger to self or others.
- Must implement lessons and collect data under the direction of a licensed teacher.
- Must be licensed as a paraprofessional in the state of Illinois.
