About the position
The Special Day Teacher for Extensive Support Needs (ESN) at Enochs High School is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with extensive support needs. This role involves creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to ensure the success of students in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with extensive support needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
Requirements
- Successful student teaching or teaching experience.
- Appropriate credential issued related to specific assignment/grade level.
- English Learners authorization is required for all positions.
