About the position

The Special Agent role at the FBI involves conducting investigations related to national security, cybercrime, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism. Agents are expected to bring diverse backgrounds and skills to the position, which includes ongoing specialized training and opportunities to work on complex cases. Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveillance and identify leads.
  • Interview suspects and advise on national security matters.
  • Participate in arrests, execute search warrants, and conduct raids.
  • Complete rigorous training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness throughout the career.
  • Be available for temporary duty assignments anywhere in the world.
  • Work a minimum of a 50-hour workweek, including irregular hours and on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • At least 23 years old and not have reached 37 on appointment.
  • Able to obtain a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
  • Two years of full-time professional work experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SASS (Special Agent Selection System).
