About the position
The Regulatory Accountant will prepare royalty and severance tax reporting for EOG reporting States. This role requires the ability to research and analyze severance tax reports and communicate data results as needed. The position involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting.
Responsibilities
- Audit and data compliance for the Regulatory accounting team
- Filing monthly reports for EOG Resources
- Filing corrected reports
- Volume and price reconciliations and analysis
- Effectively communicating with multiple disciplines as necessary to ensure accurate reporting
- Applying understanding and ensuring compliance with all government regulations
- Annual visits to reporting agencies with management as needed
- Reconciling royalty payable accounts monthly
- Testing of system enhancements and system conversion
- Special projects as necessary
- Responsibilities with federal audits and audit tracking, with potential reporting to Federal and Indian leases (ONRR) as workload changes
