About The Position

Pine Lake Preparatory, a North Carolina A rated public charter school, is currently seeking a charismatic and innovative Part-time Spanish Teacher for grades 6-8. This teacher will be motivated, engaging, and have the ability to work in diverse teams. Responsibilities include providing high-quality Spanish Language instruction, including Spanish immersion social studies classes, planning and delivering engaging lessons, maintaining student progress records, and fostering a positive classroom environment. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish and demonstrate the ability to teach native speaker courses in social studies Spanish immersion. Native speakers are preferred. The candidate will uphold standards set by the NC Department of Public Instruction. Desirable applicants will hold a Bachelor's degree. Requirements

Fluent in Spanish

Responsibilities

Provide high quality Spanish Language instruction for grades 6 – 8, including Spanish immersion social studies classes.
Plan, prepare and deliver appropriate lessons using a variety of presentation methods to keep students engaged
Maintain records and communicate students' progress and development
Create and maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes good behavior and adheres to PLP's Code of Conduct
