About the position
SkillSetGroup is seeking an entry-level Sandblaster/Powder Coater to join their finishing department in Huntington Beach, CA. This role involves polishing and painting metal parts, specifically focusing on the finishing touches for metal faucets and related components. The position is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a 2nd shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Handle blasting and powder coating equipment.
- Perform sandblasting and polishing on metal parts.
- Move parts between stations using bench polishers and grinders.
- Determine the proper wheels and buffing materials for finishing.
- Conduct visual inspections of parts for quality assurance.
- Maintain buffing materials and equipment, including buffers and finishing machines.
Requirements
- Experience with metal part fabrication, polishing, blasting, and coating is required.
- Ability to manipulate small parts under high-pressure air equipment for sandblasting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with sandblasting and powder coating is a plus.
