About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Space Vehicle Engineer (Level 3) to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. This position will be responsible for the health and safety of space vehicles (SV), subsystem analysis, and implementation and verification of specific products loaded to the Space Vehicle. Specialized training will be provided on necessary skills for ground and Space Vehicle configuration management. Required certifications will be earned though on-the-job (OJT) training and self-study during allotted on-the-job time.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Able to complete the Space Vehicle Certification program (Post Start), for continued employment, which requires a combination of self-study – on-the-job time allotted – and on-the-job (OJT) training
Ability to support after-hours deployments and rotational on-call
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with an adjudicated Counterintelligence or Full Scope Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Responsibilities

Ensure integrity of the ground system and command path in support of the mission
Use Microsoft-Windows or UNIX based computers for the development of the operational plan and analysis of data collected in support of planning future contacts or anomaly resolution
Coordinate with management and peers to ensure integrity of operational products including procedures, tools, detailed event logging, and system configuration
Analyze technical data and verify and sustain specific system configuration in accordance with defined parameters and operational requirements
Monitor system performance and control system elements by initiating change commands to the system configuration to achieve mission objectives
