About The Position

The Spa Receptionist will play an important role for day-to-day and ownership of the Spa Desk. They are responsible for guiding guests through treatment menu, accurately booking spa reservations, and assisting guests with retail purchases. The Spa Receptionist will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of department objectives, standards and guidelines and other administrative processes. The Spa Attendant will be responsible for providing an elevated level of guest service, though timely, engaging and attentive service. They proactively greet, interact and assist team members, fostering a positive harmonious work environment

Requirements

  • Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in The United States
  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
  • Always communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees
  • Inspect and maintain areas for which responsible
  • Must be able to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience, preferably in a spa or related environment
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Food Handler's Card
  • Unrestricted ability to work in the US for any employer
  • Ability to break down barriers and resolve potential conflicts swiftly and effortlessly
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of management
  • Creativity and innovation are essential!
  • Ability to think outside the box and approach all issues with a completely fresh approach
  • Ability to anticipate needs and over deliver wherever possible
  • Candidates must think on their feet and use their initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions
  • Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance
  • Able to change direction and work on multiple project aspects at once

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of spa, fitness and related equipment preferred
  • Superior customer service skills required

Responsibilities

  • Assist guests in the usual manner, whether on the phone or in person
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues beyond authority of staff to ensure guest satisfaction while operating within established guidelines
  • Assist in training of policies and procedures of all new attendants/receptionists
  • Assist in monthly inventory of retail supplies to track cost of sales and ensures company assets are accurately accounted for
  • Take responsibility for questions or issues that may arise when supervisors are not present Assist with additional job-related tasks as directed by Leadership
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygienic environment, including light cleaning, stocking supplies and linen management
  • Provide food and beverage offerings as part of the spa experience
  • Meet demands of a fast-paced environment
  • Be knowledgeable about resort, spa offerings and treatment menu
  • Other duties as assigned
