About the position

The Territory Sales Manager role is focused on establishing distribution and developing sales of Made In products within the Southeast territory, particularly targeting specialty independent cookware and grilling retailers. This position requires strategic selling skills to identify sales opportunities, manage customer relationships, and execute effective sales calls to enhance product visibility and availability. The role involves significant travel to customer locations and aims to expand the company's market presence through strong retailer partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and develop sales of Made In products within the assigned geographic territory.
  • Identify, call on, and manage specialty independent cookware and grilling retailers.
  • Expand distribution and increase sales through strategic selling.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential wholesale customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Plan and organize a daily work schedule to visit existing and potential customers.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory analyses to the Vice President of Sales.
  • Conduct product training and support in-store product demonstration events.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of outside selling experience at retail and wholesale.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong fact-based, strategic selling skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize route coverage to achieve sales goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
