About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations. This role plays a vital part in both à la carte service and banquet production, ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and organization are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings a passion for culinary excellence, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork in a collaborative kitchen setting.

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or at least 4+ years of kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or club
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Management certification preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations and the execution of service, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Supervise and support line cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • Contribute to menu creation.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation across all dishes.
  • Assist with both à la carte service and banquet production, making sure food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
  • Uphold sanitation standards in accordance with health department regulations.
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food products.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment.
