Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements for seniors
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work full-time hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Background screening as mandated by Florida law

Nice To Haves

• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents’ preferences
• Plan menus that are nutritious, balanced, and appealing
• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
• Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold quality and safety standards
