About the position

The Sourcing Manager at Mactac North America is responsible for driving strategic sourcing activities across the manufacturing divisions. This role involves developing category strategies, managing supply base productivity, and advising business leadership on procurement strategies. The Sourcing Manager will also oversee supplier selection, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with supply base risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop category strategies that include cost breakdowns, market analysis, and a productivity roadmap.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in executing cost reduction plans.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms for assigned spend categories.
  • Develop total cost, 'should' cost, and entitlement models for assigned spend categories.
  • Advise business leadership on procurement strategies based on industry and market dynamics.
  • Manage the qualification of new sources to support new products.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing operations, materials management, and supplier quality regarding supplier performance and inventory initiatives.
  • Conduct vendor part management procedures including part setup and price table maintenance.
  • Analyze daily purchase order backlog reports for accuracy and trends.
  • Track market indexes representing main cost drivers for assigned categories and update corporate index file monthly.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly inventory and purchase variance reports.
  • Issue and track supplier non-conformances and cost recovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Business.
  • 7 to 10 years of Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing LCC suppliers preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Familiarity with negotiations and constructing formal supply contracts.
  • Experience with paper, film, resin, or chemical additives categories required.
  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities to implement process change improvements and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPM or APICS certification is a plus.
