About the position

The Solutions Engineer - Sales is a key technical resource for the field sales organization, responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. This role involves working closely with the sales team to provide technical advice and support, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting with pre-sale presentations. The Solutions Engineer must effectively communicate the connection between corrections software and internal systems to both business and technical users, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting product development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical point person for the sales team during software sales demonstrations and industry events.
  • Represent the product line in the field through technical sales support activities.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality product demonstrations.
  • Assist in responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
  • Support the sales organization in executing technical sales demonstrations and resolving high-level technical issues.
  • Assess existing customer issues to identify product enhancement opportunities.
  • Interface between the market and the organization to support Engineering and Network Development efforts.
  • Assist the field sales team in developing strategies for contract opportunities using target opportunity lists.
  • Aid in the development of sales tools and maintain a working product demo environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a community corrections organization preferred or extensive experience using electronic monitoring equipment.
  • Experience and success with technical software product demonstrations is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of company products, positioning, and services.
  • Strong understanding of competitive positioning and competitor product lines.
