About The Position

Unison is seeking a highly experienced GovCon Solutions Architect and Government Contracts/Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the primary business expert for our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) portfolio while helping drive growth across our broader government acquisition and procurement solutions. This unique role will be a part of the Product Management team and will work very closely with the Go To Market organization, serving as a bridge between customer business needs, solution capabilities, and product strategy. The successful candidate will leverage deep federal contracting expertise to help customers improve acquisition and contract management processes through the effective implementation and adoption of Unison solutions. Initially focused on Unison CLM, this individual will become the primary pre-sales architect, product demonstrator, and business process advisor for the platform. Over time, they will expand their expertise to include other government-focused Unison solutions. The ideal candidate combines extensive government contracting knowledge with practical experience implementing or utilizing CLM and procurement technologies. He or she is equally comfortable engaging executive stakeholders, conducting detailed business process discussions, influencing product direction, and delivering compelling software demonstrations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in federal contracting, acquisition, procurement, contract management, or related government business operations.
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), contract lifecycle management processes, procurement operations, and government contracting best practices.
  • Experience working within federal agencies, government contractors, acquisition organizations, or procurement-focused technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, administering, or utilizing Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and demonstration skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with contracting officers, acquisition executives, procurement leaders, program managers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customers, conferences, and business development activities.

  • Experience with UnisonCLM strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business process SME for UnisonCLM and related contracting solutions.
  • Engage directly with government contractors and acquisition organizations to understand current-state business processes, challenges, and strategic objectives.
  • Advise customers on best practices for contract lifecycle management, acquisition workflows, procurement operations, and compliance.
  • Facilitate business process discovery sessions, workflow assessments, and solution design workshops using UnisonCLM and other Unison tools.
  • Act as the lead pre-sales architect supporting sales opportunities across the CLM business, including demos and technical engagements with prospects.
  • Support account teams throughout the sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution positioning, demonstrations, proposal support, and executive presentations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during competitive evaluations and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Serve as the primary demonstrator and presenter for UnisonCLM.
  • Develop and deliver compelling demonstrations tailored to customer business processes and acquisition challenges.
  • Build demonstration environments, use cases, and business scenarios that showcase customer value and measurable outcomes.
  • Over time, expand demonstration expertise to include Unison PRISM, Bidscale, and other government-focused Unison solutions.
  • Represent Unison at industry events, conferences, webinars, and customer briefings.
  • Translate customer feedback, market trends, and acquisition industry requirements into actionable product recommendations.
  • Support product launches, feature adoption initiatives, and go-to-market planning.
  • Provide ongoing insight into evolving federal acquisition regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to grow adoption within existing customers and expand into new organizations and agencies.
  • Contribute to sales enablement materials, competitive positioning, messaging, and market education efforts.
  • Help establish Unison as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the federal acquisition community.
