About the position

The Solutions Architect for Digital Native Business at AWS is responsible for educating customers on cloud architecture, helping them migrate workloads to AWS, and ensuring successful deployment of solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, as the architect will engage with various stakeholders, from developers to CxOs, to promote AWS services and build strong customer relationships. The position also involves creating educational content and participating in architectural discussions to drive the adoption of AWS solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
  • Educate DNB customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
  • Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform as a key member of the business development and sales team.
  • Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and product teams and help evolve the AWS platform.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
