About The Position

The Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific professional within Sanofi's US Medical Affairs division. Their primary role is to share medical and scientific information about Sanofi products with healthcare providers and clinical researchers through compliant scientific exchange, disease state education, and medical education initiatives. Key responsibilities include establishing scientific credibility with healthcare stakeholders, communicating the value of Sanofi products, identifying clinical research opportunities, and providing insights on medical education gaps to internal teams. SOT MSLs also communicate MMRC-approved clinical information and facilitate research and educational collaborations, all in compliance with applicable SOPs. Requirements

  • MD, PharmD, PhD preferred (Solid Organ Transplant clinical practice or sciences) or PA/NP/DNP accompanied by previous pharmaceutical industry or clinical research experience in solid organ transplantation.
  • Knowledge and experience in therapeutic area of Solid Organ Transplantation.
  • Clear understanding of local medical practice and clinical decision making in regards to patient care.
  • Interpretation of key scientific data and ability to translate this information to meet educational, clinical, and research needs.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems affecting patient care.
  • Understand the design and execution of research studies.
  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary field-based scientific contact for healthcare providers in the Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) therapeutic area
  • Communicate clinical and scientific data on Sanofi products through compliant scientific exchange and medical education
  • Build and maintain relationships with key thought leaders, physicians, and healthcare organizations within the region
  • Identify medical education gaps and provide solutions to address unmet needs
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests using MMRC-approved materials and resources
  • Identify potential clinical research investigators and facilitate Investigator Sponsored Trial proposals
  • Collect and communicate field insights and emerging clinical trends to internal Medical Affairs teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Commercial)
  • Participate in scientific congresses and professional meetings through presentations and posters
  • Ensure full compliance with all Sanofi policies, SOPs, training requirements, and documentation standards
