About the position

As a Software Testing Intern in our Engineering Early College Summer Internship program (targeting rising sophomore level students) at TechSmith, you will be putting your problem-solving skills and passion for developing great software to use every day. You will work in a cohort group with other interns, testing our world-class software products in a fun, collaborative environment. The software that you test will be used by millions of TechSmith's customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include learning about software testing, participating in a cohort group that tests TechSmith applications, working with agile teams, exercising various testing methods, reviewing completed work with teammates, as well as other duties, as assigned. If you love technology and solving problems you will fit right in! At TechSmith, every individual can make a big impact, while working in a supportive team environment. As part of agile development, you will have a voice in helping to decide how the team takes on assignments. While working with other roles, such as User Experience Designers and Product Owners, you will help to assess and provide on how our solutions solve our customers' needs. With the help of your teammates you will have the time and support to fully test our solutions and ensure our products are of high quality. Throughout this internship you will advance your skills with the training and support of seasoned technology mentors.

Requirements

  • Plan to be enrolled in classes in the summer or fall of 2025, working towards a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Testing or a closely related field
  • Enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate credits or 3 graduate credits
  • Demonstrable passion for software development as evidenced by school projects, internships, or personal projects
  • Demonstrable ability to collaborate with other students and a diverse set of people from many disciplines
  • Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid (in-office/remote) work environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without an employer-sponsored petition for a visa
  • In person 2 week orientation with hybrid options offered after orientation
