This Software Test Engineering position at one of our US offices in the St. Louis or San Francisco Bay areas and earns a competitive salary of $100,000 to $160,000. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software and other engineers (clinical, systems, mechanical, electrical) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for medical devices and applications
  • Analyze and understand software requirements to design and implement tests for software features
  • Independently maintain and execute automation and/or manual test plans for software testing and verification
  • Perform hands-on software and system testing of complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Prepare and deliver test reports summarizing test efforts and outcomes
  • Collect, analyze, track, and report test results; document and file bugs systematically

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ years manual software testing experience
  • 2+ years programming in Python
  • Familiarity with common software tool sets, including source control, continuous integration, and automated unit testing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for medical devices, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Design Control for regulated products, software verification, and knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g. ISO13485 and IEC 62304)
  • Experience testing complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and suite development (ie. Ranorex, Squish, etc)
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system
