About The Position

Do you have a passion for building robust automated tests? If so, we invite you to join the Apple Pay Quality Engineering team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality of Apple Pay products that surprise and delight millions of customers. As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and seamlessness of Apple Pay, a service that is constantly evolving with cutting edge features. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong technical and debugging skills, and a drive to make a difference. To be successful in this role, you should be a seasoned developer with strong programming fundamentals. This includes designing, documenting, and building automated tests at scale.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience with programming skills in Python, Swift, and Bash.
  • Experience with Git and codebase management
  • 3+ years of experience with test methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, functional testing, etc)
  • Experience with developing test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases, custom tools, and testing architectures
  • Ability to investigate, debug and triage difficult problems both independently and cooperatively
  • Experience with API testing and familiarity with server architecture

Nice To Haves

  • Good understanding of CI/CD principles and the optimal way to design testing strategy for cloud applications
  • Experience developing UI automation, preferably in Apple frameworks such as XCTest
  • Familiarity with AI/ML solutions
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results
  • An enthusiasm for user-focused design and high-quality products
  • Strong passion for quality assurance in software, including experience in finding, investigating, and fixing bugs
