About the position

The Software QA Coordinator at FYI is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through meticulous testing and coordination of QA activities. This role involves hands-on testing, developing QA processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • QA Testing: meticulously test our software products, ensuring they meet specified requirements and perform as expected through hands-on testing methods.
  • Coordinate QA Activities: Plan, organize, and assign QA tasks for various projects, ensuring timelines and quality objectives are met.
  • Develop QA Processes: Assist the QA Lead and Head of Product in developing and refining QA methodologies, processes, and best practices to ensure robust testing and quality assurance.
  • Test Planning: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for new products and features.
  • Test Execution: Perform thorough regression testing, functional testing, and other relevant testing types to ensure product quality.
  • Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs through JIRA or other bug tracking systems, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report on QA metrics to monitor product quality and team performance.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior QA team members, facilitating knowledge sharing and professional growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality products.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years experience in QA testing or QA school, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Software Testing: Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing tools and techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Tools: Experience with Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, or similar QA tools.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.
