About the position
The Software Manufacturing Test Engineer will be responsible for developing and adjusting test systems for electro-mechanical medical devices in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong background in test engineering, particularly in creating and implementing test fixtures and automated test systems. The engineer will work independently, as there are limited internal resources available, and will need to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and adjust manufacturing test systems for electro-mechanical medical devices.
- Create specifications and definitions for test fixtures.
- Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Automate manufacturing calibrations and trims of devices under test.
- Write automated tests in C#/C++ or Python.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in developing electronic test systems for a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in test engineering, particularly in the specification and definition of test fixtures.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and test methodologies.
- Proficiency with test equipment and tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Experience with automated test systems and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
