About The Position
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual for a Software Engineering Internship in our Boise office. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. If you are a current student at an accredited university in the Boise area looking for an opportunity to develop your software programming skills, learn from industry leading engineers, and enhance your academic learning, then this may be the position for you! As a Software Engineering Intern, a typical day might include the following: Participating in the development of tools to support SEL's software development process. Implementing software design and verify the requirements are met. Following engineering quality assurance procedures. Continuously identifying, measuring, and improving processes.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed.
- Programming experience in C#, C++, Java, Go, or Python.
- Able to execute and document defined testing procedures.
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
