About The Position

Produce top-notch functional, technical and user interface designs. Participate in complex applications and systems development, project planning, estimates, programming and status update ensuring project deliverables are on time, and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards. Take business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance and development standards requirements, then develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application and/or system. Help to come up with strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience. Conduct code reviews to address quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating and review sign-offs for solution design. Identify issue, develop, maintain processes and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application (e.g. cross-capability/release issues). Transform business requirements and research into winning delivery solutions that meet performance goals. Make enhancements and troubleshoot. Configure and develop custom components with technology partners (analysts, developers, designers etc.) to meet requirements and goals. Ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities (and follow standard security practices). Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g. development, testing solutions, and tools). Complete unit and integration testing per standards and design specs. Respect TD's technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines. Apply and share technical expertise during incident management life cycle (e.g. analyzes reports and outages, perform impact assessments, facilitate stakeholder communication).

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
  • 6+ years of mainframe application design, development and Support experience.
  • Working experience mainframe skills with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, TSO, ISPF, IMS DC/DB and or DB2.
  • Experience with Source Control (Endevor, SCM, Changeman).
  • Experience with Job scheduling tools (CA-7, Autosys, AWF).
  • Agile experience.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (Jira, Confluence and Service Now).

Nice To Haves

  • Financial Industry experience.
  • Mainframe utilities: IDz, ZDT, ADDI, PD tool, IMS Explorer for Development.
  • General knowledge of MQ.
  • Banking Industry experience.
