The proper candidate will be able to work as a Software Engineer supporting multiple US programs. Hiring will be contingent on a US Government clearance and may delay the hiring process by approximately 60 days. Nationwide Remote- Work Schedule will be based on the Pacific Time zone for availability. Position will be remote telework. If the candidate is in the Las Vegas area, they will be required to be onsite 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Coming up with and implementing software solutions in support of multiple US Government and commercial customers.
  • Assisting in prebuilt and pre-architected solutions - implementing pieces of a bigger application.
  • Implementing middleware and software integration solutions between disparate systems.
  • Debugging, upgrading, and patching existing solutions and codebases.
  • Designing and managing CI/CD job pipelines for testing and deployment.

Requirements

  • High School plus advanced training, and 5-10 years of IT related experience.
  • Ability to program in multiple languages - primarily javascript/typescript but other languages a plus including C#, PowerShell.
  • High level understanding of markup languages and object types including JSON, YAML, HTML, XML, etc.
  • Must be able to use code versioning software and understand basic code branching techniques (GIT).
  • High level understanding of related communication protocols including HTTP/S, DNS, SSH, RDP, REST.
  • High level understanding of serving software - primarily Node.js and IIS.
  • High level understanding of implementing solutions in a cloud environment (especially AWS).
  • Medium level understanding of the solutions provided via AWS with focus on EC2, S3, Lambda, CodeDeploy.
  • Medium level understanding of Infrastructure as Code solutions (Cloudformation, Terraform, etc).
  • Passing familiarity with operating system administration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow a plus.
  • The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
  • In addition to a successful interview, a candidate for this position must be able to hold a Department of Homelands (DHS) Security clearance.
  • After a successful interview process, clearance will be started with DHS.
