About the position

RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a non profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Master's Level Social Worker for our inpatient psychiatric unit. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide high-quality, friendly social services to our clients in a fast-paced mental health environment. Clinical supervision will be provided to assist you in your journey toward LMSW and LCSW licensure. The schedule will be weekday business hours plus every other weekend (you'll have one consistent weekday free to offset the weekend hours). Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the LCSW Clinical Program Coordinator in the development and coordination of patients' clinical social work needs as identified by the interdisciplinary treatment assessment process.
  • Facilitate the awareness, growth, and psychological development of the client.
  • Build rapport with the client through empathic listening, caring, and warmth.
  • Be authentic, genuine, and transparent.
  • Encourage and motivate individuals to tackle their mental health and behavioral problems effectively.
  • Provide a safe environment and establish a warm, comfortable therapeutic culture.
  • Work toward licensure as LMSW / LCSW.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW / MSSW).
  • Experience providing clinical social work, preferably within an inpatient psychiatric setting, is preferred but new master's level social work graduates will be considered.
