Responsibilities
- Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments for patients and families.
- Provide individual, group, or family counseling as needed.
- Advocate for patients and families to access necessary services and resources.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document relevant patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in departmental and hospital committees and task forces.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and available resources.
- Mentor and supervise social work students and staff as needed.
Requirements
- Master's of Social Work Degree from an accredited program required.
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
- Previous clinical social work experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong assessment and treatment skills in clinical social work.
