About the position
The Department of Corrections is seeking a Social Service Clinician I to work inside the fast-paced, professional environment of the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex. This position involves reentry planning and treatment of offenders to address their criminogenic needs and prepare them for community reintegration.
Responsibilities
- Provides therapeutic services through the assessment of offender needs.
- Performs needs assessments and develops individual plans.
- Leads therapeutic groups and recreation activities.
- Conducts cognitive counseling on a one-on-one basis.
- Coordinates with other program areas as needed.
- Tracks data and provides reports and statistical data as needed.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary planning/treatment planning.
Requirements
- A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- One year of professional social work experience.
