About the position
The Phinizy Center for Water Sciences is offering a paid internship for a Social Media Marketing Intern. This role is designed for marketing degree-seeking students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in social media marketing and content creation. The intern will work closely with various departments to produce engaging content for the Center's social media platforms, monitor performance, and assist in developing marketing campaigns to promote events and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and publish content relevant to programs, events, facilities, and services.
- Create engaging content and compelling graphics for social media.
- Develop social media campaigns to promote events and assist with their design and execution.
- Manage and monitor social media channels, responding to comments and re-sharing relevant content.
- Utilize analytic tools to track social media engagement and identify high-performing ideas and campaigns.
- Gather images and videos for social media content.
- Assist in managing the Phinizy Center's social media content.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a marketing degree.
- In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Suite and Canva.
- Strong computer and smartphone skills.
- Demonstrated interest in the outdoors and the mission of the Phinizy Center.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with social media analytics tools.
- Public speaking skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle wildlife.
