Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring SMTS Process Engineers to Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Lead efforts to perform diagnosis and failure analysis on silicon and other device/feature failures. Perform statistical correlation analysis between product-yield, Si parameters, and FAB-process to lead root cause identification. Coordinate failure analysis support across internal and external sites, and mentor other engineers on failure root cause understanding. Develop and verify new silicon yield report, as well as diagnosis report. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Utilize knowledge of or wide-ranging experience with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Requirements

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
Semiconductor process yield management
Fault isolation and physical failure analysis
Integrated Circuit (IC) chips design software such as Cadence Schematics, LVS (Layout Versus Schematic), layout, and verification tools
Scripting in TCL, Perl, or Python
Advanced data analysis and machine learning
SQL or QLAP databases
