About the position

Kenvue is currently recruiting for the position of Manager - Skin Health R&D Packaging. This position reports into the Head of Skin Health packaging and is based at Skillman, NJ, with the role eventually transitioning to Summit, NJ. The Manager will be responsible for shaping and leading squad/franchise deliverables for superior consumer experience through packaging, engaging the cross-functional team to ensure follow-through. The role also involves supporting manufacturing investigations and collaborating with commercial and supply chain teams to optimize processes, packaging materials, and constructions to meet business innovation sufficiency, ESG, and GP targets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the X-functional team to lead new package development based on consumer insight, delivering the targeted consumer benefit and key claims, while meeting cost targets.
  • Leverage digital tools such as CAD, modeling & simulation to streamline package development and guide the team to deliver right-first-time initiatives.
  • Maintain accountability for best practices throughout product and process design. Implement methods for measuring performance to monitor the technical integrity of products.
  • Knowledge of external vendor ecosystem and capabilities. Knowledge of new packaging industry trends.
  • Annual developmental budget management. Tracking. Management of project development OPEX. Deliver NPI & CIP on schedule and in full.
  • Manage contributions of 0-5 direct reports.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors / Masters in Packaging technology/ Mechanical / Polymer, Plastics, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Work experience: 6 (for MS Candidates)/ 8 years of new package development/Technology transfer in CPG, food, or pharmaceutical companies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical knowledge to shape team deliverables and assess/manage risk. Strong understanding of packaging development work process.
  • Confident and articulate communicator (both written and verbal), with the ability to convey and present complex information to others clearly and logically.
  • Strong leadership and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work and lead their team independently seeking guidance as required.
