About the position

The Skilled Electrician position is designed for experienced electricians, particularly those in their 3rd and 4th year of apprenticeship, with a focus on both commercial and residential projects. The role requires a licensed journeyman, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The electrician will be responsible for various tasks including job planning, material management, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations and repairs in commercial and residential settings.
• Plan jobs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Organize and report daily construction activities, productivity, and material purchases.
• Read and interpret electrical prints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Own tools necessary for the job.
• Strong experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Knowledge of current National Electrical Code and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints.
