About the position

The Site Manager I at Primoris Renewable Energy is responsible for leading and managing the operational and financial aspects of solar construction projects. This role serves as the primary liaison with the client's project management team, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. The Site Manager will coach and lead site supervisory personnel, uphold the company's culture and values, and create a motivating team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working conditions and adherence to safety procedures on the project.
  • Set direction for the project team and facilitate coordination with Trade Superintendents and other field supervisory staff.
  • Support field staff in hiring, promoting, coaching, and discipline of project employees.
  • Conduct regular employee evaluations and provide informal coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure all necessary training has occurred before work commences, including safety and quality training.
  • Provide oversight that project construction activities conform to project specifications and quality plans.
  • Coordinate project alignment meetings and ensure thorough estimate reviews are conducted.
  • Monitor and report project costs, labor hours, and quantities against budgets and work plans.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the owner regarding major project decisions and requirements.
  • Engage subcontractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least seven years of supervisory experience in a related construction industry.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise and present information to employees.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment and their applications.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, listening, presentation).
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
  • Strong organizational skills, including scheduling, planning, and prioritization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Intermediate construction drawing knowledge.
  • Basic general construction knowledge of terminology, crafts, and documents.
