The individual will be responsible for managing the patient's treatment schedule and coordinating with Medical Oncologist staff for concomitant treatments. Additionally, the position includes instructing therapists on treatment setups, administering daily prescribed doses for radiation therapy treatments, and adhering to standard work practices. The candidate must follow principles of radiation protection for patients, themselves, and others, utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment. Positioning patients for treatment accurately according to prescription, educating and reassuring patients and their families, and contributing to the training of radiation therapy students are also key responsibilities. The role emphasizes continued professional growth through goal setting and participation in educational offerings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year of related work experience
  • An active Registered Radiation Therapist verified by ARRT
