About the position
The Shop Service Technician at Crown Equipment Corporation is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing lift trucks, including those from Crown and other manufacturers. This role involves performing planned maintenance, processing job paperwork, and engaging in welding and fabrication tasks. The position emphasizes customer service and technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks.
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks.
- Process paperwork after completion of each job.
- Engage in welding and fabrication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
Nice-to-haves
- Technical degree.
- Previous lift truck repair experience.
- Welding experience.
- Knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
