About the position

The Shop Manager at DeAngelo Contracting Services is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Oklahoma City shop, ensuring efficient mechanical builds and repairs, supervising mechanics, and maintaining shop safety. This role involves customer service, administrative tasks related to automobile repairs, inventory management, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and performs customer service functions or scheduled maintenance as necessary.
• Supervises and assists with administrative services related to automobile repairs, including preparing cost estimates and notifying customers of maintenance.
• Reconciles operating accounts and records, including sales with cash and receipts.
• Drafts and maintains operating reports as requested by the division manager.
• Monitors inventory and orders supplies and tools for the shop.
• Schedules and arranges necessary maintenance for the shop.
• Ensures that the shop is neat, clean, and safe.
• Keeps open lines of communication with all parties.
• Oversees all licenses/permits with the Asset Manager.
• Designs and updates equipment and spray systems to specifications.
• Performs all aspects of fleet repairs, including mechanical, hydraulic, welding, fabrication, and minor body repairs.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Previous mechanic experience of 5+ years.
• CDL is highly preferred.
• Excellent managerial and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare operating reports and reconcile sales records.
• Extensive knowledge of automobile repair with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
