About the position
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Drake Industries, Inc. is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role involves processing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring efficient handling of packages. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse or distribution center and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks to move products safely.
- Assist with stock organization and ensure that the warehouse is clean and orderly.
- Perform regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to improve shipping and receiving processes.
- Utilize MRP systems for tracking inventory levels and order fulfillment.
Requirements
- Experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Familiarity with distribution center operations is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
