About the position

The Shipping and Receiving Associate at Manzi Metals is responsible for participating in daily warehouse operations, including accepting and receiving shipments, storing materials, and packaging products for shipment to customers. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse practices and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Accept and receive shipments in the warehouse.
• Store materials and products according to specific instructions.
• Package and ship products to customers.
• Use measuring tools such as micrometers and calibrators accurately.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment.
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
• Complete all other duties and tasks as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a warehouse and inventory environment.
• Knowledge and experience using measuring tools like measuring tape, micrometers, and calibrators.
• Experience in erecting skids or wood boxes.
• Experience using a nail gun and deburring machine.
• Experience with metal cutting machines.
• Ability to operate a forklift and/or attain a forklift certificate.
• Computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Physical ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of metal cutting saw operation.
